Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Hedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Copper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Magnus Hedman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carlos Copper! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Copper. Hedman parries the strikes from Copper easily there. Copper is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hedman to escape.
The referee asks Copper politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Copper prefers to stall for the moment though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Copper tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Copper has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Copper stands up and beckons Hedman to his feet. Hedman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Copper counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. You can see the frustration on Hedman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Copper might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Copper not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hedman tries to get to full guard but Copper has control of the leg. Hedman is trying to maintain the position but Copper is very close to passing his half guard. Copper stalling.

Hedman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Copper is one step ahead there. Hedman keeping moving, preventing Copper from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Copper advances to half guard. Copper throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Copper works his way into full mount! Copper throwing strikes here but Hedman is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Copper gets a clinch. Copper ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Copper no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Copper has his feet on Hedman's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Copper forces Hedman back against the cage and clinches. Copper has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hedman is trying to keep an underhook but Copper manages to get the takedown into half guard. Copper throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hedman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Copper is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. This has been an exciting period of action!

Copper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Copper shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Copper was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! This has been an exciting period of action! Copper throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hedman because Copper loaded up on that one. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Copper tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hedman is looking to improve his position but Copper isn't that keen on the idea. Magnus Hedman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carlos Copper is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. And that's the end of the fight! Carlos Copper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Copper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
