Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy Dexter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Turrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turrett comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Criticize kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Dexter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Turrett! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dexter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dexter slaps away a takedown attempt from Turrett, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dexter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dexter throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dexter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Turrett is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Turrett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dexter throws out the jab. Billy Dexter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dexter throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Turrett counters with a nice double leg into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dexter wants to sweep here but Turrett controlling him for the moment. Turrett has gone for a leg lock! Dexter slips out almost immediately though and dives into Turrett's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turrett working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dexter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dexter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dexter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turrett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dexter has managed to get both his arms back between Turrett's legs - danger averted. Dexter wants to pass the guard but Turrett is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dexter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Turrett works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dexter trying to control the position from guard on top but Turrett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dexter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Turrett has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Dexter off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Turrett tries to clinch but Dexter is having none of it. Turrett fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dexter avoids it really well and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Turrett looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Turrett counters with a takedown into side control. Dexter on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dexter tries to get out of the position. Dexter manages to get back to half guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Turrett tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Dexter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dexter is trying to maintain the position but Turrett is very close to passing his half guard. Dexter controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Billy Dexter. Dexter throws a wild combination but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Turrett dominated that round. That's time! Dexter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dexter tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Dexter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Turrett counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A punch combination from Dexter misses. Dexter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Turrett gets the takedown into side control. Turrett tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dexter is trying to control Turrett's posture but Turrett avoids it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Turrett looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Turrett tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! That's three minutes gone in the round. Dexter tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Dexter tries to lock up and control but Turrett gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Turrett working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Turrett thowing shots but they're missing. Turrett prevents Dexter from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Turrett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Dexter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

and Turrett counters with a nice uppercut. Dexter misses with a series of wild punches.
Dexter throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Turrett blocks a jab. Dexter tries to keep at a distance but Turrett has taken the fight into the clinch. Turrett tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dexter smiles and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Dexter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Turrett napping and manages to drive through into side control! Turrett regains half guard there - taking advantage of Dexter's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Turrett actively working from the bottom here. Turrett is not content to let Dexter control the position. Dexter takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dexter is trying to control. Turrett wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Dexter is looking to stall here but Turrett recovers full guard. Dexter lands a couple of decent looking shots. Dexter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Dexter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turrett has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dexter has managed to get both his arms back between Turrett's legs - danger averted. Turrett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Turrett keeping moving, preventing Dexter from controlling successfully. Turrett is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dexter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Turrett can't keep his opponent in guard - Dexter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Turrett looking for submissions off his back. Turrett on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Paul Turrett is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Dexter working over Turrett with some ground and pound. Turrett looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Turrett is refusing to be controlled, as Dexter sits in half guard. Dexter with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dexter wants to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Billy Dexter showed his dominance in that final round. I think Turrett has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Paul Turrett! After the fight, Paul Turrett was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
