Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marek Perepeczko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Machinski! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perepeczko tries to keep at a distance but Machinski has taken the fight into the clinch. Machinski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Machinski slips under a jab from Perepeczko. Perepeczko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Machinski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Machinski fails with the takedown. Machinski fails to land with a series of punches.
Machinski gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Perepeczko to score an easy takedown into full guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Machinski is looking for a triangle but Perepeczko pushes his legs off easily.
Machinski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machinski content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Machinski looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Perepeczko on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Machinski scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Machinski is looking to take a break and control but Perepeczko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Perepeczko is trying to get back to full guard. Well, if Machinski is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machinski tries to pass to full mount but Perepeczko defends it. Machinski trying to control from Perepeczko's half guard. Perepeczko has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Machinski wants to stand but Perepeczko is controlling his posture from full guard. Machinski controls from within his opponent's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Machinski distracts Perepeczko with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Machinski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perepeczko keeping full guard, as Machinski tries to pass. Machinski stands up from Perepeczko's guard - Machinski perhaps looking for a knockout. Perepeczko tries to clinch there but Machinski circles away.
Machinski slaps away a takedown attempt from Perepeczko, before circling back to the center of the mat. Perepeczko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Machinski tries to avoid it but Perepeczko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Machinski to the ground. Machinski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Perepeczko is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Machinski shoots in and bounces Perepeczko off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Perepeczko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Machinski is one step ahead there. Machinski gets to his feet. Perepeczko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Machinski tries to close the distance and clinch but Perepeczko swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Machinski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Machinski shoots in and drives through. Perepeczko sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Machinski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Perepeczko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Machinski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Perepeczko stuns Machinski with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Perepeczko looks to score with a jab to the body but Machinski is just out of range. Machinski shoots in looking for a takedown but Perepeczko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Machinski's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Perepeczko tries to sprawl but Machinski drives through with a takedown into half guard. Machinski decides to return to a standing position. Machinski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Machinski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Perepeczko. Machinski thuds a left hand into Perepeczko's body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perepeczko gets caught napping as Machinski dives in and scores a takedown. Perepeczko manages to retain guard. Machinski tries to free his leg and advance position but Perepeczko is retaining full guard. Machinski trying to control the position from guard on top but Perepeczko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Perepeczko tries to land a sweep but no joy. Machinski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Perepeczko keeping moving, preventing Machinski from controlling successfully.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Boris Machinski wasn't active enough on the ground. Machinski shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machinski content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Machinski is thwarting Perepeczko's attempts to control the position. Machinski perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Machinski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Perepeczko manages to get back to half guard. Machinski not doing much here.
Machinski postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Perepeczko to stand up. Machinski shoots for a double leg takedown but Perepeczko sprawls well. He's pushed Machinski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Marek Perepeczko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boris Machinski.

Machinski is trying to control Perepeczko's posture but Perepeczko avoids it. Perepeczko grinds an elbow into Machinski's temple. Perepeczko working away. Machinski sneaks back into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Perepeczko trying to control from half guard but Machinski is working away. Machinski pushes Perepeczko off looking to stand but Perepeczko dives back in and keeps control.

Machinski has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Perepeczko's face.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Machinski cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Machinski gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Machinski is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Perepeczko is defending well though. Machinski let's go of the attempt for now. Machinski is riding his opponent, not letting Perepeczko buck him off.
