The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Jackson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stevens looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Stevens tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Stevens crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jackson - the referee stops the clock and Stevens gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jackson . Stevens manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Stevens is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Stevens on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jackson . Jackson obviously looking to wear him down.

Jackson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stevens has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Stevens throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jackson blocks it with crossed arms.
Jackson is looking to break free of the clinch but Stevens has double underhooks.

Jackson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Victor Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson lands a front kick.

Stevens scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Stevens gets tackled into the cage by Jackson . Jackson maintains the clinch.
Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Stevens.

Stevens loads up on a big right hand but Jackson slips the punch.
Jackson moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jackson . That's going to slow Stevens down.
Stevens stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson .
Stevens throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stevens's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
A slapping leg kick lands for Jackson .
Jackson clinches.
Jackson breaks the clinch.
Good leg kick by Jackson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson lands with a kick to the ribs.

Jackson drops Stevens with a beautiful combination! Stevens stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jackson is looking for the KO!
Stevens is rocked!
It looks like Victor Stevens has been cut.
Jackson lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Stevens crumples to the floor! Jackson milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
