Sachz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Storstadsidyll by Petter. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Harry Sachz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fat Jobber! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sachz shoots in and bounces Jobber off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Sachz's corner is telling him to maintain position. Sachz postures up and lands a big shot to Jobber's brow. Sachz working some strikes from top position. Sachz with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sachz is working Jobber over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. This has been an exciting period of action! Sachz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Sachz content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Sachz might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sachz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Sachz sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jobber's guard. Sachz scoring with strikes to the body and head. Jobber on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Sachz takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Sachz drops an elbow to the side of Jobber's head.
Jobber is rocked! Sachz in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Jobber tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sachz!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Harry Sachz! After the fight, Harry Sachz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
