Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Hammer does no damage.
Hammer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Holmes rushes Hammer and presses him up against the cage.
Holmes wants to take the fight to the mat but Hammer manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Hammer is looking to control Holmes's arms but Holmes gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hammer has his back to the cage.
Hammer is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Holmes is defending well.
Hammer is trying to force a seperation but Holmes has the dominant position.
Hammer is pressed up against the cage. Holmes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hammer down to the mat. Hammer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Holmes fails with a takedown attempt.

Nice sprawl there from Hammer as Holmes shoots in.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Holmes is defended easily by Hammer.

Hammer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Holmes has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hammer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hammer.
Hammer is looking to break free of the clinch but Holmes has double underhooks.
Hammer content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Holmes unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hammer lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hammer is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hammer trying to stall but Holmes improves his position.
Holmes pulls Hammer into guard.
Hammer wants to stand and escape but instead Holmes has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Holmes stops Hammer from standing up.

Hammer keeping full guard, as Holmes tries to pass.
Hammer wants to stand up but Holmes is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammer keeping moving, preventing Holmes from controlling successfully.
Holmes working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hammer wants to get back to his feet but Holmes is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Holmes trying to control the position from guard on top but Hammer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Holmes drops back looking for a leg! Hammer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hammer manages to kick Holmes off! Holmes jumps back into Hammer's guard.
Holmes advances position into side control!

Holmes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Holmes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Holmes has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Hammer is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Holmes yanks on the arm and Hammer is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Holmes.
