Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colin Joyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joyce tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Fury counters with a straight right hand.

Fury clinches up against the cage.
Joyce content to slow the pace in the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Joyce takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Fury has picked Joyce up - he's going for a ride! Fury dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Fury throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Fury is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Joyce doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fury.

Fury is pressing down on Joyce's thigh, looking to free his foot. Joyce is holding on for now.

Fury seems to be working for a kimura but Joyce defends the submission attempt.

Fury is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Joyce to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fury wants to control from the top but Joyce keeps moving.
Fury looking to sit in guard and control but Joyce gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fury is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Joyce wanted to stand there but Fury had control of the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Bryan Fury wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Fury drives through with a takedown into Joyce's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Joyce wants to stand and escape but Fury is having none of it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fury accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fury gets to his feet - Joyce follows without any prompting.

Joyce is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Fury is keeping busy.

Fury closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Joyce did well to prevent Fury getting side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fury looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Joyce pushes Fury off looking to stand but Fury dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joyce tries to close the distance and clinch but Fury swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fury closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Joyce quickly recovers to half guard.

Fury has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Joyce defend it? Fury steps over the head and cranks it - Joyce is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fury!
