Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Studd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lanzo Corso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Studd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lanzo Corso! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corso throws a nice inside leg kick. Corso misses with a head kick.

It looks like John Studd has been cut. Studd takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Corso throws a lazy right hand but Studd sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Corso lands a big head kick that sends Studd tumbling to the mat! Corso takes a step backwards and waves Studd back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Studd is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Corso slips a jab from Studd. Oh Studd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Studd is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Corso's half guard. Corso tries to get to full guard but Studd has control of the leg. Studd seems to have got his legs back now. Studd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Corso wants to control but Studd is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round. Studd content to control rather than advance. Corso is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Corso regains full guard. Nicely done. Studd wanted to stand there but Corso had control of the position. Studdis looking to pass into half guard but Corso pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Corso is in guard. Studd wants to sweep but no luck. Corso trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Studd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Corso on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Studd is pulling down on Corso's head. It's preventing any offense from Corso, at least for the moment. Studd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Corso throws a big elbow that misses. Studd is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Corso is controlling him. Studd pulls Corso in to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because John Studd just wasn't active enough. Corso throws a head kick but Studd moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Studd avoids a punch combination nicely.
Corso uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Excellent takedown into side control there by Studd. Corso wants to control but Studd postures up. Studd is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Studd decides to stand back up. Studd steps back and let's Corso get back to his feet. Studd throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Studd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Studd might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Studd controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Corso is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Studd looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Corso prevents Studd from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lanzo Corso dominated that round. The cut man is working on John Studd's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Studd drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Corso is trying to improve his position. Corso is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Studd stands up. A head kick misses from Corso. Corso lands a head kick!

Corso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Crunch! Corso slams his shin into Studd's torso. Studd manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Corso on his heels. He'll look to pass Corso's guard now, I'm sure. Studd controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Studd looking to sit in guard and control but Corso gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Studd trying to control the position here.

Studd drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Studd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Corso swivels though and keeps the full guard. Studd postures up and lands a big shot to Corso's brow. That's three minutes gone in the round. Corso has momentary wrist control but Studd slips an elbow through the middle. Studd avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Corso has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Studd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Studd seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Studd tries to stand but Corso is controlling from the bottom.

Studd has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Corso is working an open guard so Studd takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Studd moves into the clinch. Studd tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Corso just stands there and leans against the cage. Studd looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Studd is trying to pull guard but Corso turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Studd working hard to break the clinch. Corso unloads a knee to the mid-section. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Corso misses with a body punch.

John Studd dominated that second round. The cut man is working on John Studd's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Studd showed some decent athleticism there. Studd controlling the action here. Studd is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Studd is taking a breather. Corso says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Studd keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Studd tries to pass the half guard into mount. Corso knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Corso gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Studd scores with a decent looking elbow strike. This has been an exciting period of action! Studd has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Corso is proving hard to escape from. Studd sitting in guard, not really doing much. Studd passes easily into side control. Nice work. Studd gets to mount! Corso was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Corso utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Corso goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Corso is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Studd is defending well for now. Studd tries to pull guard but Corso holds him up against the cage and eventually Studd drops back down to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! John Studd showed his dominance in that final round. I think Studd has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
