Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andy Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jodhvir Dhillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns comes to the cage accompanied by Jai Paul - BTSTU. Jodhvir Dhillon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jodhvir Dhillon!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for Dhillon.
Burns thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nice takedown defense from Burns. No joy for Dhillon on that attempt.
A nice leg kick lands there from Dhillon.
Dhillon lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dhillon tries to clinch but Burns moves out of range.
Burns tries to bum rush Dhillon with a series of wild strikes but Dhillon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Burns fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dhillon sprawls well initially but Burns persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Dhillon pushes Burns off but Burns dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burns has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Dhillon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Burns counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Burns decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Burns gets caught napping as Dhillon dives in and scores a takedown. Burns manages to retain guard.
Dhillon looks gassed!

Burns pushes Dhillon off and scrambles back to his feet.
Burns really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dhillon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Burns manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dhillon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Burns counters with a takedown into side control.
Andy Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jodhvir Dhillon.

Burns stands up.

Burns drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Burns decides to stand back up. Burns steps back and let's Dhillon get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

It looks like Jodhvir Dhillon has been cut.

Burns shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Burns decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Dhillon seems to have recovered his senses.

Burns swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Burns shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dhillon napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Burns closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Burns lands in his opponent's guard.

Burns gets to his feet - Dhillon follows without any prompting.

Burns decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Burns's corner calls for a 1-2. Burns obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dhillon enables Burns to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dhillon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Burns gets to his feet. Dhillon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dhillon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Burns to score an easy takedown into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Burns stands and steps away. Dhillon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Burns tries to bum rush Dhillon with a series of wild strikes but Dhillon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dhillon drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Dhillon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dhillon is working an open guard so Burns takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Burns closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dhillon to the mat! Dhillon manages to get full guard.

Burns stands and steps away. Dhillon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Burns misses with a wild combination.
No joy there for Burns, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dhillon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Burns has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Burns counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Dhillon!
Dhillon is looking to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andy Burns has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jodhvir Dhillon.
