Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Fry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tage McNutt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McNutt has chosen A Warrior's Call as his entrance music. Robert Fry could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tage McNutt's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Fry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tage McNutt! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Fry!
McNutt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fry counters with a beautiful punch that sends McNutt to the canvas!
McNutt is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Fry missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. McNutt is still in real trouble! Can Fry finish him? Fry postures up in McNutt's guard and throws a big left but McNutt blocks it. Fry engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. McNutt seems to have recovered his senses. McNutt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Fry is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Fry throws a strike but McNutt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Fry has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but McNutt has passed into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McNutt sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Fry is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McNutt tries to score with some ground and pound. Fry controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. McNutt is looking to take a break and control but Fry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McNutt decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fry to his feet. Fry getting the better of the striking in that exchange. McNutt with a poor takedown and Fry cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fry throws a big overhand right that connects, sending McNutt tumbling to the canvas! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McNutt keeping moving, preventing Fry from controlling successfully. Fry throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fry showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Fry trying to control but McNutt is working from the bottom. Fry is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Robert Fry just wasn't active enough. McNutt ducks straight into an uppercut from Fry and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - McNutt manages to regain guard straight away.
Fry throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fry trying to control the position from guard on top but McNutt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fry tries to free his leg and advance position but McNutt is retaining full guard. McNutt pushes Fry off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. McNutt looks gassed! A shot to the liver by Fry. Beautiful body shot. McNutt looks to land a left hand but Fry moved out of range nicely. Fry misses with a two punch combination.
Fry throws a big overhand right that connects, sending McNutt tumbling to the canvas!
It looks like Tage McNutt has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McNutt swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Fry throws a strike but McNutt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. McNutt is fighting to break Fry's control of his arms but Fry is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McNutt throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fry preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Fry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! McNutt wants to control from the top but Fry keeps moving. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Fry feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McNutts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert Fry dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tage McNutt's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Decent striking displayed by Fry there. Fry attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. McNutt tries to clinch up but Fry circles away and keeps his distance. Tage McNutt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fry throws a low kick but it's checked well by McNutt. McNutt misses with a takedown attempt and Fry counters with a right hand that sends McNutt tumbling to the canvas! Can Fry finish him? He dives into McNutt's guard looking to do just that! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fry loads up on a big left hand. McNutt felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Fry looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! McNutt can't hide his disappointment, as Fry celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Fry!
