PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Wilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael MacRoberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacRoberts has chosen Pretty Vacant by The Sex Pistols as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jasper Wilton had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.7lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael MacRoberts!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacRoberts throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
MacRoberts lands a nice looking body shot.
MacRoberts lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Wilton doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
MacRoberts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wilton takes one to the side of the head.
Wilton throws a big shot that misses.
MacRoberts scores with the left hand. Wilton knows he should have avoided that one.
MacRoberts lands with a cross.
Wilton swats away the attempt to clinch by MacRoberts.
The crowd cheers as MacRoberts lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wilton doesn't seem phased though.
This has been an exciting period of action!
MacRoberts lands a body shot.
Wilton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by MacRoberts.
Wilton shoots in but MacRoberts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
MacRoberts feints a jab promting Wilton to slip. MacRoberts then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wilton slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
MacRoberts fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wilton is defended easily by MacRoberts.
A cross from MacRoberts lands.
MacRoberts scores with a jab.

Wilton is rocked!
No joy there for MacRoberts, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
MacRoberts throws a nice looking combination but Wilton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
MacRoberts connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wilton's hands.
Oh Wilton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wilton takes one to the side of the head.
Wilton seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. MacRoberts shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Wilton is backing up but MacRoberts catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Wilton covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! MacRoberts Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael MacRoberts!
In his post fight interview, Michael MacRoberts started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
