Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Houston Marley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Smith!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Smith. Those never looked like landing.

Marley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Smith prevents a takedown attempt there.
Marley is working for takedown but Smith is calmly controlling the position for now.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Smith moves into range and clinches up with Marley.
Smith controlling the action here for a moment.
Smith has Marley pressed against the ropes, preventing Marley from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Marley tries to pull guard but Smith won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Houston Marley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marley tries to score a body lock takedown but Smith shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Marley drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Marley has Smith pressed against the ropes, preventing Smith from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Marley prevents Smith from breaking the clinch.
Marley tries to score a body lock takedown but Smith shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Marley tries to pull guard but Smith won't allow it.

Marley stalling in the clinch but Smith improves position.
Marley looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Marley keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Smith's efforts to push away.
Smith wants to break free but Marley has control.
Marley stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Marley keeps control of Smith as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Smith manages to break the clinch.
Smith lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.


It looks like Houston Marley has been cut.
Marley fails in his attempt to clinch.

Smith clinches with his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Smith rushes Marley and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Smith makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marley finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the ropes, ducking and weaving under Smith's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Marley falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mr Smith!
