Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kelsey Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Ramsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramsey comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fire kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kelsey Curtis could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gordon Ramsey's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelsey Curtis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gordon Ramsey!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtis misses with a takedown attempt
and Ramsey connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ramsey misses with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Curtis or perhaps it was just good defense by Ramsey which made him look bad.
Curtis fails with the takedown
and Ramsey counters with an inside leg kick.

Curtis shoots for a double leg takedown but Ramsey sprawls well. He's pushed Curtis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Curtis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ramsey's waist but Ramsey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Curtis off to one side.
Curtis shoots for a double leg takedown but Ramsey sprawls well. He's pushed Curtis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ramsey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Curtis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ramsey as he avoids it easily.

Ramsey lands with a slapping head kick.
Curtis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Ramsey counters with a head kick. That will keep Curtis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Curtis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Curtis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramsey tries to avoid it but Curtis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramsey to the ground. Ramsey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ramsey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Curtis is controlling him.
Ramsey controls Curtis momentarily but Curtis frees himself.

Ramsey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Curtis defends well.

Curtis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Ramsey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Curtis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Curtis stands and throws Ramsey's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramsey on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Curtis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ramsey has escaped the position, nice work there.

Curtis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ramsey knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ramsey is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Curtis off and has taken his back!

Ramsey is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Curtis knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Curtis for a finish.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ramsey is looking for a choke. Curtis gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Curtis manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Ramsey looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

A close second round but Gordon Ramsey will probably get the nod - 10:9.

and Ramsey counters with a straight right hand.
Ramsey slaps away a takedown attempt from Curtis, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Curtis shoots in for a double leg but Ramsey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Some bone on bone action there as Curtis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Curtis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ramsey can pounce on him.
Curtis shoots in looking for a takedown but Ramsey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Curtis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Curtis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gordon Ramsey is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Curtis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ramsey as he jumps to the side.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Curtis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Gordon Ramsey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Ramsey winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Gordon Ramsey was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
