The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Castle swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Castle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Santos manages to avoid it.
Santos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A slow jab from Santos misses its intended target.

Castle looking to score a takedown here. Santos is defending well but Castle drives through and ends up in Santos's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Santos has momentary wrist control but Castle slips an elbow through the middle.

Castle closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Santos quickly recovers to half guard.
Castle uses his free foot to push down on Santos's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Santos.
