Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Raffer Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksander Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Emelianenko.


It looks like Raffer Steele has been cut.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Emelianenko crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Steele - the referee stops the clock and Emelianenko gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Steele. Emelianenko manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A head kick misses from Steele.
Steele misses the jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Emelianenko lands a nice shot that snaps Steele's head back.
Steele goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Steele.
Steele scores with a jab to the head.


It looks like Aleksander Emelianenko has been cut.

Steele lands a big head kick that sends Emelianenko tumbling to the mat! Steele takes a step backwards and waves Emelianenko back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Emelianenko is rocked!
Emelianenko misses with the combination.
Emelianenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Steele finish him?
Steele throws out a loose jab but Emelianenko uses good head movement to avoid it.
Emelianenko seems to have recovered his senses.

A head kick misses from Steele.
Steele pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Steele walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Emelianenko checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Steele misses with a low kick as Emelianenko jumps back.
Emelianenko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Steele counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Good leg kick by Steele there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Steele misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Steele.
Emelianenko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Steele throws a sloppy head kick and Emelianenko moves out of range easily.
Emelianenko slips under a jab.
Emelianenko swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Steele thumps Emelianenko with a low kick.
Steele lands with a thumping leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steele swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Steele throws a push kick but Emelianenko slaps the foot to one side.
Emelianenko throws a series of strikes that have Steele backpedaling.
Steele connects with a solid leg kick.
Steele throws a half hearted mid kick.
Steele throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Emelianenko counters with a three punch combo that has Steele backing up. Steele nods at Emelianenko to acknowledge the strikes.
Steele jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A nice leg kick lands there from Steele.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Steele avoids a punch combination nicely.
Steele throws a jab when Emelianenko was well out of range.
Steele fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Emelianenko has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Steele throws a quick inside leg kick.
Emelianenko looks gassed!
Steele attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Steele throws a quick inside leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Steele.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raffer Steele dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!


Emelianenko walks into a left hand.
Emelianenko gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Emelianenko's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Emelianenko ducks under a wild hook from Steele.
Steele feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Emelianenko collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Raffer Steele!
