Love comes to the cage accompanied by Otherside by Mackemore X Ryan Lewis. Smith has chosen I´m Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Love slips under a jab.
A nice inside leg kick there by Smith. That's going to slow Love down.
Smith looks to throw a body kick
and Love counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Smith tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Love is able to avoid easily.
Love just misses with a punch to the body.
Love doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Love stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smith.
Love looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Love persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing.

Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Love.
Love walks into a stiff left hand from Smith.
Love takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Love waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Smith.
Austin Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Love takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Love misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Smith, right into the meat.
Love throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Love tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smith was well out of range. Poor timing from Love.
Smith lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Love throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smith was covering up waiting for the punch and Love finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Smith keeping moving, preventing Love from controlling successfully.
Smith is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Smith looking to hit a scissor sweep but Love is one step ahead there.
Love trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom.

Love with a flurry of punches that miss.
Smith wants to get back to his feet but Love is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Smith holds on and takes a little breather.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Love shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense.

Smith tries to clinch but Love moves out of range.
Love swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Love fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Smith to the ground. Love is now in Smith's guard.

Love postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Love wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Love won't allow Smith to get back to his feet.
Love lands a couple of decent looking shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
