Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duncan Macloud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macloud is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: highlander theme song. Frank Sinatra has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinatra fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Some wild striking there from Macloud.
Sinatra looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sinatra shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Macloud's guard.
Sinatra thows a big elbow that misses.
Sinatra won't allow Macloud to sweep him here.
Macloud trying to strike off his back.
Macloud looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Macloud wants to get back to his feet but Sinatra is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sinatra drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Macloud dives on top into guard.
Macloud has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sinatra is proving hard to escape from.

Sinatra had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Macloud is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sinatra Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Macloud's back instead.
Sinatra doesn't have the hooks in and Macloud manages to turn into his guard.

Macloud controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Sinatra has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Macloud can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Macloud cracks Sinatra with a solid left hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sinatra looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sinatra is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Macloud pulls him back up using the underhooks.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sinatra is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Macloud has managed to free his arm - good work.
Sinatra is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Macloud can do anything to dispel that myth.
Macloud wants to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sinatra shoots and misses
so Macloud counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Sinatra has an active guard here but Macloud has managed to pass into half guard.
Sinatra is looking for a sweep. Macloud is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sinatra is trying to control but can't.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Macloud lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Macloud.
Macloud lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sinatra has his takedown stuffed
and Macloud counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Sinatra wants to stand and escape but Macloud is having none of it.
Sinatra is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sinatra isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Macloud stacks Sinatra on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Macloud!

Duncan Macloud showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Sinatra shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Macloud counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sinatra is looking to sinch up a triangle. Macloud throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Sinatra's body to avoid the submission. Sinatra has instead reached around Macloud's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Sinatra arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
