Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russ Stover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shananigan Lurendrejer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shananigan Lurendrejer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Russ Stover! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shananigan Lurendrejer! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lurendrejer fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Stover rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lurendrejer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lurendrejer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stover manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Lurendrejer working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lurendrejer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Lurendrejer is pushing down on Stover's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stover is fighting to maintain full guard but Lurendrejer has managed to sneak the leg through. Stover moves into full guard.
Lurendrejer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Lurendrejer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Lurendrejer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lurendrejer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lurendrejer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Lurendrejer pushing down on Stover's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Lurendrejer lands with a punch from half guard. Lurendrejer moves into full mount! Stover won't be happy about that! Lurendrejer scoring with strikes but Stover is staying in there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lurendrejer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Lurendrejer punishing his opponent with strikes.
Stover is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big strike lands for Lurendrejer! That's really hurt Stover and he's turned his back - Lurendrejer keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Lurendrejer jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shananigan Lurendrejer! A relieved looking Shananigan Lurendrejer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
