Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chimpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remy Hoost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chimpo comes to the cage accompanied by On The Darkside. Hoost has chosen Man With A Harmonica as his entrance music. Remy Hoost told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Chimpo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Remy Hoost!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chimpo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hoost throws a leg kick but Chimpo sees it coming and moves out of range.
Chimpo swats away the attempt to clinch by Hoost.
A looping hook to the body misses from Chimpo. Hoost does a little dance to reset his feet.
Chimpo throws a right and a left that Hoost avoids nicely.
Chimpo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Chimpo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hoost's head.
Chimpo trying to pass the guard but Hoost defending well.
Chimpo is looking for a kimura here.
Hoost really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chimpo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chimpo has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hoost defend it? Chimpo steps over the head and cranks it - Hoost is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chimpo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Johnny Chimpo!
