The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tomasz Adamek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hughes fails with the takedown.
Hughes takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Adamek is looking to clinch but Hughes is avoiding it.
Adamek misses with a few strikes there.
Adamek lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Adamek swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hughes throws an off balance right hand
and Adamek counters with a one-two to the body.

Adamek looks to land a combination. Hughes sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Hughes leaves his chin hanging out and Adamek seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Hughes crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
