Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ted Mosby! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ravel Williams! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mosby decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mosby is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Williams defends it well. Williams is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mosby's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mosby's back! Mosby tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Williams looking to control but Mosby is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mosby is trying desperately to improve position. Williams can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mosby is looking to escape. Mosby tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mosby sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Mosby keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mosby tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control. Williams trying to control from half guard but Mosby is working away. Mosby wants to improve his position but Williams is controlling well.
Williams tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mosby. Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mosby's head. Mosby regains full guard. Nicely done. Mosby keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Williams gets to his feet. Mosby looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Williams tries to clinch up but Mosby circles away and keeps his distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams closes the distance and clinches. Mosby gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Mosby postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mosby trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom. Mosby is really struggling to control Williams but he's trying to hold on to the position. Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mosby can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Williams is trying to keep Mosby in close.

Mosby missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Williams wants to stand up but Mosby is controlling him. Mosby looking to pass the guard. Mosby drops back looking for a leg! Williams is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Williams manages to kick Mosby off! Mosby jumps back into Williams's guard. Mosby advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mosby goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Williams has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mosby but great work by Williams. Williams is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mosby knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mosby is trying to get back to half guard. Mosby is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Williams off and has taken his back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. You can see the frustration on Williams's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Mosby is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Williams defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mosby has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Williams has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Mosby takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Williams defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mosby. Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Williams passes Mosby's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Williams tries to pass to full mount but Mosby defends it. Williams is trying to control. Mosby wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Williams missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Mosby avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Williams. Williams thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mosby's head. Williams is keen to just control but Mosby is a slippery customer.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ravel Williams wasn't active enough on the ground. Williams drives through with a takedown into guard. Mosby not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Ravel Williams has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mosby tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in Mosby's guard. Williams is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Williams avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mosby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ted Mosby overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Williams decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Williams swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Williams closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mosby's guard.

Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Mosby gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mosby postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Williams is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mosby, into his guard. Mosby bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Williams's guard.

Mosby trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mosby is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Williams is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Mosby drops back, looking for a kneebar! Williams looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Williams looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Williams! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Williams wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mosby, who protects the arm well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mosby is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Williams seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Williams is trying to trip Mosby. He has hold of a leg but Mosby is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Williams persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Williams looking to pass the guard. Mosby looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mosby is trying to control the position but Williams postures up. Mosby throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Williams wants to get up but he can't break Mosby's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Mosby is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williams is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Mosby has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though.

After the fight, Ted Mosby was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
