Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Coulter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Luis Carneiro!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coulter has taken the fight to the clinch.

Coulter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Coulter tries to sprawl but Carneiro drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Carneiro trying to control from Coulter's half guard. Coulter has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Carneiro looking to sit in guard and control but Coulter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Coulter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carneiro on the ground.
Coulter trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carneiro's guard.

Carneiro looking for a guillotine here but Coulter defends easily.
Coulter stands up over Carneiro, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Coulter trying to control the position from guard on top but Carneiro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carneiro controls Coulter momentarily but Coulter frees himself.

Carneiro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Coulter is aware though and is defending well.
Coulter missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Carneiro looking for subs off his back but Coulter has passed one foot through into half guard.
Coulter wants to get back to his feet.

Carneiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Carneiro works his way to full guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carneiro is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Coulter controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Coulter wants to control from the top but Carneiro keeps moving.

Carneiro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coulter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Carneiro is tightening it up a little... Coulter has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Coulter reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Coulter taps out! Nice BJJ there by Carneiro!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Luis Carneiro!
