Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tatton Chantry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Hertz!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chantry gets tackled into the cage by Hertz. Hertz maintains the clinch.
Hertz avoids a wild elbow strike from Chantry.
Chantry is trying to push Hertz away but Hertz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Chantry jumps guard and drags Hertz to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chantry is on top in guard.
Hertz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chantry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chantry drops back looking for a leg! Hertz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hertz manages to kick Chantry off! Chantry jumps back into Hertz's guard.
Chantry stops Hertz from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chantry trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Chantry is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Chantry thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Chantry drops back looking for a leg! Hertz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hertz manages to kick Chantry off! Chantry jumps back into Hertz's guard.
Chantry wants to control from the top but Hertz keeps moving.
Hertz wants to get back to his feet but Chantry is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chantry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Chantry is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hertz wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Chantry's hips, looking to push off. But Chantry grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Hertz screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Tatton Chantry!
