The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pham rushes Cezar and presses him up against the cage.

Pham jumps into guard, dragging Cezar to the mat.
Cezar with a flurry of punches that miss.
Cezar is in close to Pham's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cezar wants to control from the top but Pham keeps moving.
Pham can't keep his opponent in guard - Cezar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pham is staying active underneath Cezar, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Pham tries to get to full guard but Cezar has control of the leg.

Cezar is looking for a kimura but Pham is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cezar to get the leverage.
Pham is not content to let Cezar control the position.
Pham on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pham tries to get out of the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Pham misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cezar swats away the attempt to clinch by Pham.

Pham shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Cezar looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pham has picked Cezar up and slammed him! Cezar can't keep hold of the triangle and Pham manages to pass to side control!
Cezar is looking for a sweep.
Cezar is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pham's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Cezar wants to control but Pham is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Pham lands a nice short elbow.
Pham not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Cezar is looking for a sweep. Pham is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Cezar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pham's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pham's back!
Cezar controlling well, preventing Pham from escaping the position.
Pham trying to control the hands but Cezar won't let him.
Cezar wants to control the position but Pham frees himself and scrambles - Cezar manages to regain control in side control.

Cezar has hold of Pham's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Pham seems comfortable defending it but Cezar has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Pham is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Pham is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cezar couldn't care less - he's delighted!
