PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asteroids Bombereem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Asteroids Bombereem!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bombereem scores with a jab to the jaw.
Bombereem clobbers Brown with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Brown misses with a body shot.
Bombereem is looking to clinch but Brown is avoiding it.
Bombereem takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Brown circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brown swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Brown looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Brown throws the left hand but Bombereem avoids the punch easily.
Bombereem connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Brown throws a shot from downtown. Bombereem moves away and avoids it.
Brown ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bombereem moves away.

Brown closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bombereem is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bombereem is trying to control but can't.

Brown is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bombereem wants to control but Brown is keeping busy.

Bombereem moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown is looking to work some ground and pound but Bombereem has wrist control.
Bombereem controls Brown momentarily but Brown frees himself.
Brown tries to free his leg and advance position but Bombereem is retaining full guard.
Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Bombereem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brown slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Asteroids Bombereem hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A jab lands there for Bombereem.
Bombereem displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brown throws out the jab.

Brown fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bombereem lands a nice leg kick that just misses Brown's sensitive parts.
Brown throws a lazy right hand but Bombereem sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Brown tries to move into range but Bombereem moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Brown throws the left hand but Bombereem avoids the punch easily.
Brown takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bombereem scores with the left hand. Brown knows he should have avoided that one.

Brown is rocked!
Bombereem cracks the inside of Brown's front leg.
Oh Brown is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bombereem lands a left and a right that send Brown crashing to the mat, dazed. Bombereem thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Brown looks to throw the jab but Bombereem is out of range.

Brown fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bombereem uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brown.
Brown throws a shot from downtown. Bombereem moves away and avoids it.
Brown seems to have got his legs back now.
Bombereem is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Sloppy strikes from Bombereem. Those never looked like landing.
Bombereem tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Brown is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Bombereem lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Brown backwards.
Brown jumps guard but Bombereem stands there with Brown around his waist. Brown gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Brown fails to land with a series of punches.

Brown fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Bombereem's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bombereem scores with a hook.
Bombereem uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Brown.
A telegraphed right hand from Brown misses the target.
Brown walks into a left hand.
Bombereem tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Brown is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Brown shoots in for a double leg but Bombereem sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bombereem lands with an uppercut that bounces Brown off the cage and back into range.
Bombereem cracks Brown with a hook to the temple - Brown is on wobbly legs here! Bombereem swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Brown falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Bombereem wins by TKO!
