Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brodeur showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Benkowski.
A looping hook to the body misses from Benkowski. Brodeur does a little dance to reset his feet.
Benkowski fails to land with a series of punches.
Brodeur darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Brodeur seems to be working for a kimura but Benkowski defends the submission attempt.
Brodeur wants to stand up but Benkowski has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Brodeur throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Benkowski sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brodeur's guard.

Brodeur sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Benkowski throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Brodeur closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brodeur decides to stand back up. Brodeur steps back and let's Benkowski get back to his feet.
Brodeur fails with a takedown attempt.
Brodeur wants to clinch.
Benkowski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Good work by Benkowski as he checks the leg kick.
Brodeur scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Benkowski displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brodeur.
Brodeur lands with a hook. Benkowski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Brodeur changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Benkowski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brodeur lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Benkowski is rocked!

Brodeur lands a series of strikes from the back and Benkowski goes limp! The ref jumps in to save him!
