Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chuan Hock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Vasconcelos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Chuan Hock has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chuan Hock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucas Vasconcelos! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasconcelos with a poor takedown and Hock counters with a single leg into guard. Vasconcelos didn't expect that. Vasconcelos wants to stand but Hock is controlling the position. Vasconcelos can't keep his opponent in guard - Hock advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hock trying to control from half guard but Vasconcelos is working away. Vasconcelos is trying to stand.
Vasconcelos is looking to control Hock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vasconcelos avoid being mounted? Hock trying to control from half guard but Vasconcelos is working away. Vasconcelos pushes Hock off looking to stand but Hock dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hock is working for a kimura but Vasconcelos is defending it quite comfortably.
Vasconcelos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hock works his way into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasconcelos tries to buck Hock off but he can't manage it. Vasconcelos tries to lock up and control but Hock gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Vasconcelos is trying to escape the mount.
Hock trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You get the feeling that Vasconcelos really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Vasconcelos is working to get back to half guard.
Vasconcelos tries to lock up and control but Hock gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Vasconcelos is trying to stand. Hock looking to control but Vasconcelos is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Vasconcelos wants to try and get back to his feet. Hock controlling the position easily from mount. Vasconcelos wants to try and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasconcelos is trying to escape the mount.
Vasconcelos tries to lock up and control but Hock gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hock throws some wild stikes that Vasconcelos manages to avoid easily.
Hock misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Vasconcelos wants to control but Hock is having none of it. Hock content just to control the position here. Hock get's back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hock misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vasconcelos fails with a takedown attempt. Hock stuns Vasconcelos with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Vasconcelos misses with a hook to the body
and Hock makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Vasconcelos really felt that one! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hock shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vasconcelos but Vasconcelos pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hock lets loose with a powerful body kick. Vasconcelos will feel that in the morning. Hock tries to sprawl but Vasconcelos drives through with a takedown into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vasconcelos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Vasconcelos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hock on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Hock trying to control but Vasconcelos postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chuan Hock dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Vasconcelos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hock keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hock looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vasconcelos fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice straight punches there by Hock. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hock. Hock is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vasconcelos's half guard. Vasconcelos tries to kick Hock off but Hock keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Hock wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vasconcelos keeps working. Vasconcelos is trying to stand up here but Hock is controlling him well. Hock seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Vasconcelos does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hock sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Vasconcelos defending well though. Hock is controlling the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chuan Hock. Hock fails in his attempt to clinch. Vasconcelos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hock is trying to defend but Vasconcelos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Vasconcelos thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Vasconcelos working Hock over with strikes. Vasconcelos missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Hock trying to control from the bottom.
Hock is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasconcelos landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Vasconcelos misses with a head shot. Hock uses the momentum to regain guard. Vasconcelos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hock works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Vasconcelos postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Vasconcelos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Vasconcelos is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hock is trying to control the position but Vasconcelos postures up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hock tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hock avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Vasconcelos throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vasconcelos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Vasconcelos connects with a couple of short punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasconcelos chips away with some ground and pound. Vasconcelos distracts Hock with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Vasconcelos with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Vasconcelos is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Vasconcelos cracks Hock with a solid left hand. Vasconcelos keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hock's head. Vasconcelos scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hock isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vasconcelos stacks Hock on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vasconcelos! Vasconcelos working the ground and pound. Vasconcelos working the head and body with strikes. Vasconcelos connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hock some visible discomfort.
Hock takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasconcelos works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vasconcelos working the ground and pound. Vasconcelos scoring with punches and elbows. Vasconcelos lands a nice forearm strike. Hock is looking to regain half guard here but Vasconcelos keeps moving and retains side control. Hock is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Vasconcelos has just dragged him back down to the mat. Vasconcelos lands a nice forearm strike. Vasconcelos grinds an elbow into Hock's temple. Vasconcelos lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vasconcelos scores with a couple of short elbows. Hock taking a bit of punishment here - Vasconcelos scoring with strikes. Vasconcelos scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hock to see if he's OK. Vasconcelos cracks Hock with a big elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lucas Vasconcelos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Hock gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vasconcelos to score an easy takedown into full guard. Vasconcelos works over Hock with some ground and pound from guard. Vasconcelos in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Vasconcelos lands a couple of digs. Vasconcelos lands a couple of decent looking shots. Vasconcelos postures up in Hock's guard and throws a big left but Hock blocks it. Vasconcelos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Vasconcelos throws a strike but Hock rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Vasconcelos is looking to stand up but Hock isn't so interested in that idea. Vasconcelos wriggles free and stands up. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasconcelos gets a double leg takedown into Hock's guard. Vasconcelos throws a strike but Hock rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Hock wants to control from the top but Vasconcelos keeps moving. Vasconcelos is looking to stand up but Hock isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasconcelos is trying to control the position but Hock postures up. Vasconcelos keeping moving, preventing Hock from controlling successfully. Vasconcelos controls Hock momentarily but Hock frees himself. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vasconcelos can do anything to dispel that myth.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chuan Hock wasn't doing enough on the ground. Vasconcelos fails to land the takedown. Chuan Hock is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Vasconcelos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hock's guard. Hock is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hock looking to control.
This has been an exciting period of action! Vasconcelos cracks Hock with a solid left hand. Hock manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vasconcelos manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasconcelos wants to get back to his feet but Hock passes into half guard.
Vasconcelos is trying to stand up here but Hock is controlling him well. Hock is trying to work for a kimura but Vasconcelos is defending well.
Hock is looking for a kimura but Vasconcelos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hock to get the leverage. Vasconcelos wants to control but Hock is keeping busy.
Vasconcelos pushes Hock off looking to stand but Hock dives back in and keeps control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hock passes into side control, despite Vasconcelos's attempt to control the position.
Vasconcelos is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Vasconcelos manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ground and pound from Vasconcelos. Vasconcelos looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Vasconcelos slips a nice elbow through Hock's hands, connecting with Hock's forehead. Vasconcelos scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
And that's the end of the fight! Lucas Vasconcelos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Vasconcelos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
