Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Tony Gates has been cut.
Davis fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Gates tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gates takes a head kick and keeps coming.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Davis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gates.
Gates closes the distance looking to clinch
and Gates takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gates ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Davis scores with a jab. Gates acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Davis lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Davis takes a swing at Gates's ribcage but misses.
Davis scores with a jab.
Gates is rocked!
Davis lands with a big right hook that stumbles Gates - he's out on his feet here! Davis follows up with another monster hook that separates Gates from consciousness! Gates falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Davis stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Phil Davis!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Phil Davis waved his t-shirt featuring KINGDOM's logo in front of the cameras.
