Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luke Cage!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage tries to close the distance and clinch but Simpson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Simpson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Cage misses with a hook. Simpson ducked under it nicely.
Cage pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
The crowd cheers as Simpson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cage doesn't seem phased though.

Cage throws a head kick but Simpson moves out of range.
Cage tries to close the distance and clinch up but Simpson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Cage throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Simpson counters with a nice body kick.

Simpson feints and then cracks Cage's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cage down.
Luke Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Simpson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cage fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Simpson .

Cage rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Simpson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Simpson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Simpson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Good leg kick by Simpson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Cage wants to clinch.
A head kick from Simpson lands but Cage takes it in his stride.
Cage looks to land a left hand but Simpson moved out of range nicely.
Simpson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cage, as that shot connected.
Simpson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Cage doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Cage uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Simpson .

and Simpson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Cage shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Simpson keeps the fight on the outside.
Simpson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cage.
Simpson looks to land a body kick but Cage moved away.

and Simpson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Simpson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A clash of legs there as Simpson blocks the low kick.

Cage swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Simpson .
Simpson scores with the left hand. Cage knows he should have avoided that one.
Simpson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Cage walks into a stiff left hand from Simpson .
Simpson tries a low kick but Cage avoids it.

Simpson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cage. That did some damage!
Cage tries to close the distance and clinch up but Simpson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Cage shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Simpson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cage was well out of range. Poor timing from Simpson .

Cage shoots in looking for a takedown but Simpson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cage's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Homer Simpson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Simpson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Simpson wants it to stay on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Simpson cracks Cage with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Cage falls to his knees and Simpson doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

A less than humble Homer Simpson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
