Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cottontail Rabbit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Bernardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 66 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cottontail Rabbit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Bernardo! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bernardo closes the distance and clinches. Bernardo turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bernardo manages to end up in side control. Rabbit really is a fat lump. Bernardo stands up. Bernardo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rabbit tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bernardo is in Rabbit's guard. Rabbit wants to stand but Bernardo is controlling the position. Rabbit wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bernardo manages to pass to side control. Bernardo controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bernardo works his foot free and advances to mount. Bernardo controlling the position easily from mount. Bernardo unloading with bombs! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bernardo working Rabbit over with strikes here. Bernardo looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bernardo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bernardo breaks from Rabbit's wrist control and lands an elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bernardo with good strikes from the mount here! Bernardo controlling his opponent. Bernardo with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bernardo looking to control and managing it successfully. Bernardo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bernardo punishing his opponent with strikes. Bernardo controlling from mount. Bernardo looking to secure an arm triangle but Rabbit defends it well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bernardo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Bernardo dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rabbit tries to keep at a distance but Bernardo has taken the fight into the clinch. Bernardo has picked Rabbit up - he's going for a ride! Bernardo dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Bernardo lands with a punch from half guard. Bernardo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Bernardo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bernardo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rabbit scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Bernardo manages to mount him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bernardo has hold of Rabbit's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rabbit manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bernardo stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Bernardo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rabbit's guard. Diego Bernardo has got the better of the ground game so far. Bernardo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Bernardo stands and steps away. Rabbit gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bernardo looking for a takedown here - he's got it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bernardo passes Rabbit's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rabbit blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bernardo. Rabbit might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Bernardo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Bernardo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bernardo gets the takedown into side control. Bernardo is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Rabbit will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Bernardo creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Bernardo in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Bernardo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Rabbit sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Bernardo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Bernardo tries for a kimura but Rabbit is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bernardo decides to take the fight back to the feet. Bernardo gets in close and instigates a clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bernardo will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Rabbit up against the cage. A short right from Bernardo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Bernardo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Bernardo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bernardo stands up out of the half guard. Cottontail Rabbit is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bernardo feints with a jab and clips Rabbit right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Rabbit is sent crashing into the canvas and Bernardo leaps in for the kill! Rabbit tries to get to his feet but Bernardo is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Rabbit is in need of a savior and steps in!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Diego Bernardo!
