The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dela Cruz shoots in and gets a takedown into BeefHooked's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Dela Cruz got a little sloppy there for a moment and BeefHooked has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dela Cruz has managed to get both his arms back between BeefHooked's legs - danger averted.
BeefHooked is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dela Cruz defends well.

BeefHooked working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dela Cruz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dela Cruz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
BeefHooked is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

WhaleOil BeefHooked really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Black Belt Nutrition #=========||=========# logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
