The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reynolds throws a hook but De Troyer avoids it easily.
Reynolds throws a leg kick which misses De Troyer's front leg but catches the back leg as De Troyer tries to avoid it.
De Troyer takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Reynolds scores with a punch to the head.
De Troyer avoids the head kick by Reynolds.
De Troyer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reynolds to the mat! Reynolds manages to get full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Reynolds wants to stand but De Troyer is controlling the position.
Reynolds wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

De Troyer sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reynolds's guard.

Reynolds wants to improve his position but De Troyer is controlling well.
Reynolds really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Troyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
De Troyer is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Reynolds!

De Troyer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

De Troyer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Reynolds is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

De Troyer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reynolds doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time De Troyer.

De Troyer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Reynolds pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mal Reynolds seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Nice uppercut lands for Reynolds. That snapped De Troyer's head back.

Nice takedown defense from Reynolds. No joy for De Troyer on that attempt.
De Troyer looks to land a body kick but Reynolds moved away.
Reynolds catches De Troyer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A thudding body kick lands there by Reynolds!
Reynolds fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. De Troyer looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
De Troyer swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Reynolds lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Reynolds lands a big head kick that sends De Troyer to the canvas! Reynolds follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
