Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Franks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Logan comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Don't Stop Believing kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Franks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frankie Logan! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franks swings for the body but Logan moves out of range.
A nice combination there by Franks.
It looks like Frankie Logan has been cut. Logan fails in his attempt to clinch. Logan throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Logan feints and then cracks Franks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Franks down. Logan wants to clinch up but Franks keeps it at a distance. Franks takes the fight into the clinch. Franks tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Logan's elbow. Franks pulls Logan into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Franks manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Logan manages to get himself to full guard.
Logan looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Logan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Franks looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Frankie Logan. Logan tries to clinch but Franks is having none of it. Mike Franks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Logan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Franks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Logan tries to clinch but Franks moves out of range. Franks closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Logan wants to get back to full guard. Franks sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Logan wants to get back to full guard. Franks looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Logan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Franks is thwarting Logan's attempts to control the position. Franks is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Franks sitting and controlling from the half guard. Franks working over Logan with some ground and pound. Logan looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Franks controlling the action here. Franks is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Franks decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Franks throws a right and a left that both miss. Logan tries to clinch but Franks moves away and Franks counters with a nice double leg into side control. Logan won't be happy with that. Logan is looking for a sweep. Logan is holding Franks down, trying to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Franks stands up. Franks is breathing heavily. Franks moves into the clinch. Franks goes for a takedown attempt but Logan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Logan connects with a solid leg kick. Frankie Logan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Logan throws a sloppy head kick and Franks moves out of range easily. Logan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Logan cracks a nice hook into Franks's ribs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Franks dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frankie Logan's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Logan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Franks swats him away and circles back towards the center. Logan doesn't manage to clinch there - Franks circles away.
Logan throws a sloppy head kick and Franks moves out of range easily. Logan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Franks to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mike Franks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Franks in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Logan wants to stand but Franks is controlling the position. Franks sitting in guard, not really doing much. Franks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Logan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Franks stops Logan from standing up. Logan working a defensive guard but Franks passes into half guard.
Logan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Franks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Franks is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Logan swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Franks avoids the attempt from Logan to control. Logan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Franks controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Logan tries to hold on but Franks postures up. Logan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Franks looking for a guillotine from mount but Logan is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Logan is working to get back to half guard.
Logan wants to control but Franks is having none of it. Franks is in the full mount, landing strikes. Franks controlling from mount. Franks lands with some strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Logan is just holding on here. Franks manages to take his back.
Franks looking for the choke but no joy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Franks has managed to slip his arm under Logan's chin. This could be all over... yep, Logan is tapping out! Submission win for Franks.
