Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nakamura Kureno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuki Kosaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nakamura Kureno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuki Kosaka!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kureno attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Kureno fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kureno misses with a head kick.
Kosaka throws a right hand that Kureno ducks under and follows up with a left that Kureno also avoids with ease.
Nice takedown defense from Kosaka. No joy for Kureno on that attempt.
Kosaka misses with a body shot.
Kureno tries to clinch but Kosaka moves out of range.
Kureno tries to clinch up.
Kosaka throws a sloppy head kick
and Kureno counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kosaka is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kureno tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kosaka manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kosaka throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kureno's waist but Kureno gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kosaka off to one side.
Kureno defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kosaka.
Kureno shoots in looking for a takedown but Kosaka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kureno's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nakamura Kureno. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kosaka feints and as Kureno raises his hands in defense, Kosaka changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kosaka in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Kureno trying to keep a closed guard but Kosaka is proving a slippery customer.
Kosaka is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kosaka decides to stand up.
Kosaka fails to land the takedown.

Kureno blocks a head kick by Kosaka.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kureno is defended easily by Kosaka.

Kosaka closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kureno's guard.
Kureno is breathing heavily.
Kosaka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kureno swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kosaka gets to his feet - Kureno follows without any prompting.

Kosaka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kureno as he avoids it easily.
Kosaka checks the leg kick nicely there.

Kosaka gets a takedown into half guard.

Kosaka postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kureno to stand up.
Kureno uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kosaka.

Kosaka gets to his feet - Kureno follows without any prompting.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kosaka throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kureno digs a good body shot into Kosaka's ribs.

Kosaka closes the distance and pushes Kureno back into the cage.

Kosaka lands a takedown into guard.
Kosaka lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Kosaka passes into half guard.
Kosaka controlling the action here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kureno wants to improve his position but Kosaka is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kosaka tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kosaka slaps away a takedown attempt from Kureno, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kureno is looking to clinch.

Kureno is trying to maintain the position but Kosaka is very close to passing his half guard.

Kosaka stands up and beckons Kureno to join him on the feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kureno throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kosaka's waist but Kosaka gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kureno off to one side.

Kureno wants to take the fight to the mat but Kosaka manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kosaka is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kureno can't fight it off and eventually Kosaka manages to take the fight to the floor. Kureno looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kosaka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kureno looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kosaka decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Kosaka misses with a series of wild punches.

Kosaka scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Let's hope that Kosaka has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Kureno is trying to get back to full guard.

Kosaka wants to pass the guard but Kureno is defending well.

Kosaka is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kureno has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kosaka lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Kureno trying to hold on to Kosaka's head to control him but Kosaka postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kosaka decides to return to a standing position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yuki Kosaka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Kureno fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kureno tries to close the distance and clinch but Kosaka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kosaka gets a takedown into half guard.
Kosaka slows the pace down in half guard.

Kosaka wants to work for an arm triangle but Kureno is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kosaka has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Still in half guard, Kosaka seems content to control.

Kureno wants to improve his position but Kosaka is controlling well.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Yuki Kosaka hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kosaka throws a head kick but Kureno moves out of range.

Kureno throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kosaka changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kureno tries to avoid it but Kosaka manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kureno to the ground. Kureno escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kureno has closed the distance and engaged Kosaka in a clinch.
Kureno fails to pull guard.
Kosaka lands a knee to the body.
Kureno is trying to force a seperation but Kosaka has the dominant position.
Kosaka tries to land knees in the clinch but Kureno avoids the damage to the body.
Kureno is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kosaka to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nakamura Kureno. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kosaka jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kureno walks away with a smile on his face. Kosaka gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kosaka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kureno thuds his shin into the meat of Kosaka's side.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kosaka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kosaka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Kosaka escapes and gets back to his feet.

Kosaka rushes Kureno and presses him up against the cage.

Kosaka fails to pull guard.

Kosaka successfully pulls guard.
Kosaka looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kosaka has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Yuki Kosaka is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kosaka wants a takedown but no success here.
