Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colton Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Washington might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to No Way by Dream Evil. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Wilson! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A bone on bone clash there as Washington blocks the leg kick.
Washington slips under a jab from Wilson. Washington shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Washington scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Brian Wilson has been cut. Wilson misses with a low kick. Washington ducks under a wild hook from Wilson. Some wild striking there from Wilson.
Wilson stuffs the takedown attempt from Washington. Washington gets slowly back to his feet. Wilson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Washington misses with a takedown attempt and Wilson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Colton Washington. That's going to take a lot out of him. Washington throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

He's got his arms around Wilson's waist but Wilson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Washington off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson throws a nice looking combination but Washington bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Washington has his takedown stuffed and Wilson counters with a stiff right hand. Wilson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Colton Washington has been cut. Wilson leaves Washington with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wilson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Washington moves away. Wilson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wilson tries to bum rush Washington with a series of wild strikes but Washington uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sloppy strikes from Wilson. Those never looked like landing. Washington feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Washington stopping the sweep attempt from Wilson. Washington working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Wilson has passed into half guard!

Washington has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wilson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Washington. Wilson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Wilson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wilson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Washington gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wilson is looking for a triangle but Washington pushes his legs off easily.

Brian Wilson dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd cheers as Wilson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Washington doesn't seem phased though. A lazy left from Wilson finds it's target. Wilson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Washington tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wilson is in Washington's guard. Washington is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Colton Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Washington throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wilson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wilson! Washington trying his best to control but Wilson has mounted him. Washington working to try and regain half guard.

Wilson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Wilson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Washington looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wilson is one step ahead there.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Colton Washington. I think Wilson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
