Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Dichter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freddie Finkelstein! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Finkelstein. Dichter does a little dance to reset his feet. Finkelstein throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dichter throws a right and a left that both miss. Finkelstein throws a shot from downtown. Dichter moves away and avoids it. Finkelstein displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dichter throws out the jab. Dichter misses with a straight left. Dichter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Dichter swings for the body but Finkelstein moves out of range.
Finkelstein avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Dichter leaves Finkelstein with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dichter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Finkelstein closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dichter to the mat! Dichter manages to get full guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Dichter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dichter keeping moving, preventing Finkelstein from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Finkelstein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dichter is pulling down on Finkelstein's head to control his posture. Dichter's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Finkelstein tries to lock up and control but Dichter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Finkelstein might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dichter kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Dichter thows a body shot but no joy. Nice defenses there by Dichter. Finkelstein misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Finkelstein is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dichter's half guard. Dichter wants to improve his position but Finkelstein is controlling well.

Dichter is trying to maintain the position but Finkelstein is very close to passing his half guard. Finkelstein seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dichter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dichter trying to control here.

He's hooked one of Finkelstein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Finkelstein's back! Finkelstein needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation. Finkelstein doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Finkelstein manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Finkelstein stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Dichter has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Finkelstein manages to get his head free but now Dichter has transitioned to an armbar! Finkelstein grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Dichter! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
