Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Dichter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ed Reed!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dichter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Dichter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dichter wants to control from the top but Reed keeps moving.
Dichter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Reed is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Dichter drops back looking for a leg! Reed is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Reed manages to kick Dichter off! Dichter jumps back into Reed's guard.
Dichter won't allow Reed to sweep him here.

Dichter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dichter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dichter is pushing down on Reed's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reed is fighting to maintain full guard but Dichter has managed to sneak the leg through.
Dichter could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reed wants to control but Dichter is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Dichter stalling.
Reed is concentrating on defense, preventing Dichter from advancing position.
Dichter trying to control the pace.
Reed wants to control but Dichter is keeping busy.
Reed trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Dichter wants to take Reed's back here but Reed is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Reed wants to control but Dichter is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dichter controlling the position easily from mount.
Reed reaches up to try and control the position but Dichter seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Reed rolls and tries to escape and now Dichter has his back!

Dichter is persistently looking for the submission but Reed is defending it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dichter is working for a rear naked choke. Reed is not defending it well and Dichter has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Reed refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Reed's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
