PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sato Peck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peck comes into a darkened arena with his song building. What, what in tha butt? kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Stark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sato Peck! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stark dips to his left and cracks Peck with an uppercut! Peck decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Stark tries to kick Peck off but Peck keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Peck should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Stark trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Peck working the head and body with strikes. Peck sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stark defending well though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Peck connects with a nice short shot to Stark's temple. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stark keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Stark avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Peck. Peck working Stark over with strikes. Peck trying to mount his opponent but Stark defends it. Peck seems to be working for a kimura but Stark defends the submission attempt. Stark wants to control but Peck is keeping busy.
Peck seems to be looking for submissions.
Stark is trying to stand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peck throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Peck prevents Stark from improving his position. Peck looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Stark is rocked! Peck slips a nice elbow through Stark's hands, connecting with Stark's forehead. Oh Stark is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Peck is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Stark is hurt! He's hurt bad - Peck fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Stark from any more punishment! Congratulations to Peck! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sato Peck! A very excited looking Sato Peck rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
