Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Henry Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bishop Deacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Don't Fake the Funk by Prince Charles. Deacon has chosen You Raise me Up by Josh Groban as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charles shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Charles perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Charles is keen to just control but Deacon is a slippery customer.
Deacon on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Deacon manages to get to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Deacon holds on and takes a little breather.
Charles slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Charles has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Deacon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Charles gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Charles's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Charles leaves Deacon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Deacon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Charles tries to avoid it but Deacon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Charles to the ground. Charles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Henry Charles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bishop Deacon.
Deacon gets caught napping as Charles dives in and scores a takedown. Deacon manages to retain guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Henry Charles.
Charles feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
