The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makenzie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Case napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Makenzie creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Makenzie controls the position from side control.
Makenzie lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Case down.
Case is looking for a sweep.
Case is trying to buck Makenzie off.
Makenzie scores with a couple of short elbows.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Case is working to avoid the ground and pound but Makenzie connects with a decent elbow.
Case takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Case might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Case is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Case taking punishment in the form of punches.
Case is rocked!

Case takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Oh Case is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Makenzie cracks Case with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Makenzie immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Case is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Makenzie!
