Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chico Corrales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maek Houzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corrales kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Merfolk Theme. Maek Houzo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maek Houzo!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corrales's corner calls for a 1-2. Corrales obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Houzo shoots in for a takedown but Corrales shows good takedown defense.
Corrales moves out of range as Houzo strikes.
Good shot there by Corrales.
Houzo shoots for a double leg takedown but Corrales sprawls well. He's pushed Houzo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Corrales displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Houzo throws out the jab.
Houzo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Corrales.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Corrales lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Houzo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Houzo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Houzo scores with a nice head shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corrales cracks Houzo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Houzo throws a predictable looking body shot
and Corrales cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Corrales fails to land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Corrales stuffs the takedown attempt from Houzo. Houzo gets slowly back to his feet.
Chico Corrales has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maek Houzo.
Corrales throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Houzo stumbling backwards into the cage! Houzo bounces back off the cage towards Corrales, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Corrales lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Corrales celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chico Corrales!
Chico Corrales bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
