The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lima misses with a leg kick
and Djurdjevic counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Djurdjevic wants to get up but he can't break Lima's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lima has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Djurdjevic has passed into side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Some bone on bone action there as Lima checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Lima wants to take a breather but Djurdjevic is having none of it.

Lima is stalling here. Djurdjevic is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lima seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Djurdjevic has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Djurdjevic thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Djurdjevic is really struggling to control Lima but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Lima wants to sweep but no luck.
Djurdjevic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lima has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Djurdjevic has managed to get both his arms back between Lima's legs - danger averted.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lima is on top in guard.

Lima postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Djurdjevic is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lima, into his guard.

Lima is looking to stand back up but Djurdjevic counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lima.

Djurdjevic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lima shoots for a takedown but Djurdjevic saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lima looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Djurdjevic is fending him off so far but Lima persists. Nope, Djurdjevic circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Filip Djurdjevic will probably get the nod.

Lima jumps guard but Djurdjevic stands there with Lima around his waist. Lima gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Djurdjevic has Lima pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Djurdjevic pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lima tumbling to the mat - Djurdjevic dives into Lima's guard.
