Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson has chosen Iron Man, Black Sabbath as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Lynch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, AJ Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Glass and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lynch scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nelson doesn't seem bothered though.
Lynch throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nelson's waist but Nelson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lynch off to one side.
Nelson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lynch swivels and escapes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Nelson.
Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lynch swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nelson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lynch defends it nicely.
Scott Lynch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of AJ Nelson.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown but Lynch shows good takedown defense.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lynch. That's going to slow Nelson down.

Nelson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Nelson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Lynch lands a knee to the head.


It looks like AJ Nelson has been cut.
Nelson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Lynch is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Nelson looks gassed!
Lynch lands a right hand that snaps the head of Nelson backwards.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Lynch.
Lynch with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Lynch.
Lynch working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Nelson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lynch can't find room to land a body shot as Nelson controls the action.

Lynch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice uppercut lands for Lynch. That snapped Nelson's head back.

Nelson walks into a stiff left hand from Lynch.

Lynch looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nelson!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Lynch cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Lynch fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lynch lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Lynch has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Nelson's face.
BOOM! Lynch connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Lynch looking to control and managing it successfully.
Nelson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lynch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nelson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lynch lands a nice looking kick to the body. Nelson takes a step back to recover.
Lynch lands with a slapping head kick.
Nelson is looking to clinch.
Lynch throws a combination. Nelson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lynch lands a head kick. Nelson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Lynch swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lynch swings for the body but Nelson moves out of range.
Lynch shoots for a double leg takedown but Nelson sprawls well. He's pushed Lynch's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lynch scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nelson doesn't seem bothered though.
Lynch finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lynch.

Nelson fails to land the takedown.
Nelson doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Lynch counter with a right hand.
Lynch lands with a good body shot.
Lynch scores with a sloppy right hand. Nelson should have avoided that one.
Lynch dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Lynch darts in and clinches Nelson up against the cage.
Lynch lands an elbow just above Nelson 's eye.

Lynch manages to break the clinch.
Lynch throws a head kick but Nelson moves out of range.
Lynch misses with a shot to the body

and Nelson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lynch regains full guard. Nicely done.
Lynch lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Nelson!
Lynch is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nelson can do to turn this around?

Lynch goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Nelson turns into him and now he's in Lynch's guard.
Lynch manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Lynch has isolated one of Nelson's arms. Nelson looking to fight him off but Lynch twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
