Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcel Madnick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Madnick's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mad Man. Johnson has chosen Ennio Morricone - For a Few Dollars more as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Madnick ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnson moves away.

and Madnick cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown but Madnick manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Johnson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Madnick just stands there and leans against the cage.

Johnson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Madnick after a bit of a struggle.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Madnick, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Madnick against the cage but Madnick circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Madnick is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard.
Madnick is trying to maintain the position but Johnson is very close to passing his half guard.
Johnson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Madnick does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Madnick is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johnson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johnson's back!

I would just about give that final round to Luke Johnson.
