Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kaapo Hannuksela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magni Turisas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turisas has chosen Manowar - Gods Of War as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kaapo Hannuksela!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turisas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Magni Turisas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hannuksela tries for a takedown but Turisas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Turisas looks for a takedown but Hannuksela sprawls well.
Turisas misses with a series of wild punches.

Hannuksela had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Turisas is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hannuksela Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Turisas's back instead.

Turisas is looking for a sweep. Hannuksela is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hannuksela is pressing down on Turisas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Turisas is holding on for now.

Hannuksela is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Turisas is just riding it out for now. Hannuksela eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hannuksela is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Turisas gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Hannuksela has Turisas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Turisas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Turisas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hannuksela can't fight it off and eventually Turisas manages to take the fight to the floor. Hannuksela looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hannuksela goes for a takedown attempt but Turisas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Turisas throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hannuksela holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hannuksela is fighting off a takedown attempt but Turisas is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hannuksela to the mat. Hannuksela regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Turisas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hannuksela swivels though and keeps the full guard.

I looks like Turisas might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turisas tries to clinch but Hannuksela moves out of range.
Hannuksela avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Turisas shoots in and bounces Hannuksela off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Turisas passes Hannuksela's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Turisas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hannuksela does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Turisas is nestled in close to Hannuksela, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hannuksela escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Turisas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Turisas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Turisas postures up in Hannuksela's guard and throws a big left but Hannuksela blocks it.

Hannuksela utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hannuksela working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Turisas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Turisas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Turisas is posturing up here but Hannuksela has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Turisas tries to roll out but it's too tight and Turisas has to tap! Slick submission there by Hannuksela!
