PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kapitan Tutan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxxi Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxxi Moon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Kapitan Tutan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Maxxi Moon!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tutan was well out of range. Poor timing from Moon.
Moon has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tutan.
Moon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tutan.
Moon misses with an uppercut
and Tutan counters with a nice leg kick.
Tutan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Moon stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tutan dips to his left and cracks Moon with an uppercut!
Horrible takedown by Tutan or perhaps it was just good defense by Moon which made him look bad.
Moon lands a nice hook to Tutan's body. Tutan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Moon thows a body shot but no joy.
Tutan has a takedown stuffed.
Nice body kick from Tutan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kapitan Tutan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tutan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Moon in his tracks.
Tutan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tutan somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kapitan Tutan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tutan pushes Moon away with a front kick.
Moon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tutan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Moon but Moon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tutan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Moon tries to avoid it but Tutan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Moon to the ground. Moon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tutan bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Moon's head backwards.

Tutan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Moon's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moon wants to control but Tutan is keeping busy.
Moon has hold of Tutan's hands but Tutan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Tutan is working for a kimura but Moon is defending it quite comfortably.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tutan slips a nice elbow through Moon's hands, connecting with Moon's forehead.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Moon is staying active underneath Tutan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tutan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tutan not doing much here.
Moon is in trouble now - Tutan has advanced to mount!
Moon is trying to escape the mount.
Tutan looking to control and managing it successfully.
Moon wants to control but Tutan is having none of it.
Tutan scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Moon?
Tutan working the ground and pound effectively.
BOOM! Tutan connects with a massive shot to the dome!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moon really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Moon takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Tutan dominating with strikes here.
Tutan cracks Moon with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
