Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daizu Mitsusada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Colbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitsusada comes to the cage accompanied by A-Punk. Daizu Mitsusada could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Nick Colbert's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daizu Mitsusada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Colbert! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mitsusada fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Mitsusada looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Colbert defending well as Mitsusada loads up on a big left hand. Mitsusada digs a good hook to Colbert's body.
Mitsusada looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Colbert uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mitsusada.
Colbert feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Colbert stands and throws Mitsusada's legs to the side, diving into side control. Mitsusada regains half guard. Colbert is trying to control the action in half guard but Mitsusada is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mitsusada tries to roll over but Colbert keeps him under control. Colbert postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mitsusada to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitsusada will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Mitsusada with a poor takedown and Colbert decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mitsusada's guard. Colbert must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mitsusada holds on and takes a little breather. Mitsusada not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Colbert loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Colbert really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mitsusada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Colbert wants to control from the top but Mitsusada keeps moving. Mitsusada keeping full guard, as Colbert tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colbert drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mitsusada looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mitsusada looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mitsusada! Mitsusada wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Colbert, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Colbert defending against the ground and pound. Mitsusada trying to control the position but Colbert is working away. Colbert is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Colbert is trying to control Mitsusada's posture but Mitsusada avoids it. Colbert gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Mitsusada passes the guard and advances to mount! Mitsusada looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mitsusada controlling from the full mount. Colbert avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mitsusada.
Colbert tries to lock up and control but Mitsusada gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Mitsusada takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Colbert is looking to get to half guard. Colbert has given up his back here.
Colbert controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Nick Colbert will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A head kick misses from Mitsusada. A big left from Mitsusada misses. Mitsusada avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

A nice leg kick lands there from Colbert. Daizu Mitsusada is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mitsusada swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mitsusada tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Colbert bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A lazy left from Mitsusada finds it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mitsusada pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mitsusada looks to score with a jab to the body but Colbert is just out of range. Daizu Mitsusada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Colbert fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mitsusada, pushing him back against the cage. Mitsusada has had enough of the clinch but Colbert keeps him there for the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Colbert manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Colbert breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitsusada rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Colbert moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mitsusada lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Colbert moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Colbert wants to clinch. Colbert moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Colbert wants to clinch up but Mitsusada keeps it at a distance. Mitsusada misses with a series of wild punches.
Colbert tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mitsusada paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mitsusada misses with a body shot.
Colbert feints and as Mitsusada raises his hands in defense, Colbert changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colbert trying to control but Mitsusada is working from the bottom. Mitsusada striking off his back but it's not causing Colbert any problems. Mitsusada keeping moving, preventing Colbert from controlling successfully. Colbert is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Colbert trying to control the position from guard on top but Mitsusada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mitsusada looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Despite being in the dominant position, Nick Colbert just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Colbert displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mitsusada throws out the jab. Colbert is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mitsusada. Mitsusada throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Colbert wants to clinch up but Mitsusada keeps it at a distance. Colbert slips a jab from Mitsusada. Mitsusada on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Colbert changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mitsusada looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. A lull in the action here. Mitsusada is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mitsusada regains full guard. Nicely done. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mitsusada is on top in guard.

Nick Colbert showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Mitsusada's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Mitsusada swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Colbert counters with a low kick, right behind Mitsusada 's knee. Mitsusada throws a sloppy head kick and Colbert makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Mitsusada swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Colbert tries to clinch but Mitsusada is having none of it. Colbert throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Colbert. Mitsusada shrugs it off though. Colbert scores a takedown into full mount! Mitsusada is controlling an arm, preventing Colbert from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Colbert throwing strikes here but Mitsusada is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Mitsusada tries to get back to half guard but can't. Colbert wants to control the pace but Mitsusada is squirming around nicely. Colbert stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitsusada falls off balance throwing a combination
and Colbert counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mitsusada throws a jab when Colbert was well out of range. Mitsusada scores with a crisp jab that stopped Colbert in his tracks. Mitsusada avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Colbert wants to clinch up but Mitsusada keeps it at a distance. Mitsusada shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Colbert counters with a body kick that stops Mitsusada in his tracks momentarily. Mitsusada gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Mitsusada dodges the punch combination from Colbert.

and Colbert makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Mitsusada really felt that one!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colbert rushes Mitsusada and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Colbert breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Colbert feints and as Mitsusada raises his hands in defense, Colbert changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Colbert chips away with some ground and pound. Mitsusada can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Colbert controls the pace. Nick Colbert has got the better of the ground game so far. Mitsusada is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Colbert controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mitsusada lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Colbert! Mitsusada looking to finish with strikes here!

Mitsusada goes for an armbar but Colbert turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Colbert. Mitsusada has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Colbert can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mitsusada controls Colbert momentarily but Colbert frees himself. Mitsusada manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mitsusada takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mitsusada looking to secure an arm triangle but Colbert defends it well. Mitsusada trying to control but Colbert is having none of it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Colbert wants to hold on but Mitsusada pushes him away.
And that's the end of the fight! Nick Colbert comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Colbert has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
