Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Mallao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 13 - 2, fighting out of London, Roger Mallao!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson misses with an uppercut
and Mallao counters with a solid body kick.
Dawson throws a right hand that misses
and Mallao counters with a nice low kick that buckles Dawson's knee momentarily.
Mallao dodges the punch combination from Dawson.

It looks like Roger Mallao has been cut.
Mallao throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dawson's waist but Dawson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mallao off to one side.

Mallao stalks Dawson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dawson's face. Dawson staggers backwards, shaken.

and Mallao counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dawson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Mallao is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Dawson rather than just go for the knockout.

That was a close round but I would say that Jay Dawson will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nice straight punches there by Dawson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dawson.

Dawson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dawson connects with a right that clearly hurt Mallao. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Dawson proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Mallao collapses and taps out under the pressure!

A less than humble Jay Dawson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
