Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Stanly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleks Pimpovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcelo Stanly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aleks Pimpovic! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pimpovic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stanly. Sloppy strikes from Pimpovic. Those never looked like landing. A punch combination from Pimpovic misses. Stanly closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stanly lands in his opponent's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Pimpovic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Stanly will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Stanly throwing strikes but missing. Stanly throws a big right hand that misses. Stanly is looking to work some ground and pound but Pimpovic has wrist control. Stanly throws a big right hand that misses. Stanly postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Stanly is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stanly keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pimpovic's head. Stanly scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
It looks like Aleks Pimpovic has been cut. Stanly is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Stanly content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Stanly is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stanly works a leg free and moves into half guard. Stanly winds up and cracks Pimpovic with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Stanly is working for a submission of some sort.
Stanly lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Pimpovic wants to improve his position but Stanly is controlling well.
Stanly not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Pimpovic on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pimpovic is in trouble now - Stanly has advanced to mount! Pimpovic wants to hold on but Stanly pushes him away. Stanly with a couple of short strikes.
That has opened up Aleks Pimpovic's cut even more. Stanly breaks from Pimpovic's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The cut above Aleks Pimpovic's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Stanly softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Pimpovic is out cold! Stanly jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcelo Stanly!
