Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Joey Bolten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Callaghan!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Callaghan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bolten on the side of the head.
It looks like Joey Bolten has been cut.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Callaghan.
Nice body kick there by Bolten.
Bolten takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bolten is rocked!
Callaghan looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Oh Bolten is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Callaghan throws a lazy right hand but Bolten sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bolten tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Bolten tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Callaghan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bolten avoids a punch combination nicely.
Callaghan catches Bolten with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Bolten forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Richard Callaghan!
Richard Callaghan really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Milwaukee's Best 159's - $69 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
